A fast-growing Almaty fashion retailer replaced their aging PHP storefront with a modern Next.js stack, achieving 215% revenue growth and cutting load times in half.

AlmaCart started in 2020 as a small Almaty-based fashion retailer, selling exclusively through their PHP-based WooCommerce storefront. By 2024, they had grown to serve customers across Kazakhstan, but their aging infrastructure was costing them sales—page load times exceeded 4 seconds, cart abandonment hovered around 45%, and seasonal traffic spikes caused frequent downtime.

We partnered with AlmaCart to rebuild their entire e-commerce platform on Next.js with TypeScript, integrating Stripe for payments and implementing server-side rendering for SEO. The team migrated 12,000 product listings with full image optimization and added a client-side search experience powered by Elasticsearch.

The results were transformative. LCP dropped to 1.4 seconds, mobile conversion rates climbed to 4.2% (up from 1.8%), and they no longer experienced traffic spikes as a pain point. Year-over-year, online revenue grew 215%. Repeat customer orders increased by 68% thanks to faster checkout and personalized recommendations. The new platform now handles 2M+ monthly page views with room to scale.
